رضخ دييغو ماراودنا للضغوطات الإعلامية و الصحافة الأرجنتينية التي تطالب بضم مهاجم ريال مدريد جونزالو إيجواين للمنتخب و قرر مدرب منتخب التانجو إستدعاء اللاعب لمباراتي البيرو و الأورواغواى فى تصفيات كاس العالم 2010 عن قارة أمريكا الجنوبية فى حين رفض مارادونا إستدعاء كلا من جاجو , داتولو , زانيتي , كاريزو , بورديسو وماكسى رودريجيز و إليكم قائمة منتخب التانجو :
Gonzalo Higuain could make his debut with Argentina on 10 and 14 October against Peru and Uruguay, respectively.
The striker is currently playing his fourth season at Real Madrid. Higuain scored 24 goals in 44 games in the previous campaign in all competitions. The 22 year-old has repeatedly expressed his wish to play for Argentina.
Other new faces on the squad list are Pablo Aimar (Benfica), Coloccini (Newcastle) and Pablo Zabaleta (Espanyol). Fernando Gago has not been called up this time.
Argentina need to win both games and depend on what others do in their qualifying group if they are to play in the 2010 South Africa World Cup.
