I have an idea : what if we give an example of a topic and discuss the steps on how to wirte.

A pupil wanted to do a short essay about the internet
The first thing to is to write down all the things he want to include in his essay
Looking at the title internet
So he may include
1. the history of the internet
2. how it spread over the world
3. how it is useful in our life
4.Adveantages and disadvantages of the internet
5.the possible future for the internet

Now this pupil has a guideline to write his essay

If you like we will continue tomorrow

The second step of wiriting the essay about interent is to read the teacher's notes or handouts.

Then do further reading about the topic and at the same write down the refernces if needed.

At this point our pupil will have enough idea about what to include in his essay

I may complete tomorrow

The next step of writing the essay is to add more to the first list of the topic he would like to write.
The information will be expanded as he starts to write.
